The Ethics of War

My friend Steve is still in Beirut, though at last report he expects to leave tomorrow, by way of Cyprus or perhaps Turkey.  We Instant Message on a daily basis.  Mostly we compare notes on the conflict, but Steve often expresses concern for the Lebanese friends he’ll be leaving behind.
